Crossing the Jordan Podcast

Are you standing at the edge?

Are you questioning your faith?

Do you want to believe in God, but the world says He does not exist?

Should you step forward and trust that God will be there?

In Joshua chapters 3 & 4, God brought the Israelites to the edge of the Jordan River, and He wanted them to cross to the other side.

It was springtime, and the Jordan River was flooded and overflowing its banks. The men carrying the Arc of the Covenant brought it to the edge of the river. Over two million Israelites piled up behind them, wondering how they were going to cross it.

God said to go. Can you imagine the hesitancy they felt? The water is deep and moving fast. Everyone could get swept away and possibly killed.

The Israelites believed that God would protect and provide for them. In faith, they stepped into the river. Once the Israelites trusted God and took that first step into the water, God acted. Before them, the river parted, and the wet, muddy ground beneath became dry.

Everyone crossed the Jordan River that day. None got wet. No possessions or people lost.

  • Are you standing at the edge of your personal Jordan River?
  • Deciding whether you can believe and trust in God?
  • Do you want to see God do a miracle before taking that first step?

God may be waiting for you to make the first move.

You will never know unless you take that first step into the water.
